Caring for People
At Awero, we’re dedicated to providing important services, care and support for people who are in vulnerable positons. This includes supporting seniors through tailored wellness, massage, and mindfulness programs that help reduce loneliness and enhance overall wellbeing, as well as caring for children, including those with learning disabilities, through creative activities, access to learning aids and and educational materials.
Creating with purpose
We give people the training necessary to develop the skills that enable them to build confidence, employability and learn to harness their creativity and use it to create meaningful opportunities for themselves. This includes empowering young people through hands-on learning in sewing, upcycling, and small business development.
Protecting Our Planet
At Awero Care & Crafts CIC, caring for people goes hand in hand with caring for the environment. Our eco-friendly projects are designed to inspire action, creativity, and responsibility across all ages. We will lead community tree planting and urban gardening projects, transforming unused spaces into greener, healthier places. Through recycling and upcycling workshops, participants will learn how to turn waste into useful or artistic items, reducing landfill while building skills. Our eco-crafts programmes for children and youth will make sustainability fun and creative, while community clean-up days will bring people together to restore pride in local parks and estates. Alongside these, we will launch a Green Ambassadors initiative, empowering young people to champion climate awareness and sustainable living in schools and neighbourhoods.
Together, these initiatives will ensure that protecting the planet is not just an idea, but a practical movement woven into everyday community life.
